Arts Canterbury Presentations for Grade 7 & 8 Students

Canterbury High School's Arts Canterbury Program coordinator, Liz Hanson and/or Darlene Laporte (retired vice principal), will be sharing information to grade 7 and 8 students about one the OCDSB's specialized programs: Arts Canterbury. The Arts Canterbury Program includes Dance, Drama, Music, Literary Arts And Visual Arts of which students can apply to one of these programs. The application and audition process will be explained and fliers will be handed out for parents. Students and their parents/guardians will be encouraged to attend one or both of the 2 Arts Open Houses on Nov 4th (Dance, Drama and Music) and Nov 6th (Literary Arts and Visual Arts) at 7:00 PM if they are interested. The Arts Open Houses are the best way for families to get detailed information and ask questions to administration, the arts coordinator, guidance and the arts teachers for each program. Tuesday, November 4th from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. (Dance, Drama, Music) Thursday November 6th from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM (Literary Arts and Visual Arts) Grade 8 students and their families are invited to attend this in-person event to learn more about the OCDSB's specialized arts programming, and about application procedures for the 2023-24 school year.
